A versatile collection for the website, advertising, and social media.
The farm needed photographs for its website and advertising, with portraits as the main focus. We also wanted to make the most of the session by creating additional images of the orchard, harvest, and apples themselves.
Alongside the portraits, I wanted to create something a little different from the usual apple orchard photos. Rows of trees and picture-perfect fruit are great for showing the setting, but there was an opportunity to give this farm something more distinctive.
One idea centered on a simple message: not every apple is perfect, but every apple is organic.
By photographing apples with unusual shapes and imperfections, we had a way to highlight the product from a different angle and give the farm a creative idea to use in its advertising and social media.
Portraits were a big part of the session. We photographed someone involved in the farm in the orchard, beside the tractor, and with the harvest, giving the business a way to introduce the person behind it.
We also captured hands moving through apples, fruit being picked, and the tractor passing through the orchard. Along with the product photos and creative apple images, these details added variety to the gallery and showed different sides of life on the farm.
The finished gallery included portraits, orchard photos, product images, harvest details, and creative photographs built around the imperfect-apple idea.
With a mix of people, place, and product, the farm received photographs for different needs across its website, advertising, and social media from introducing the people behind the business to showcasing its apples in a less expected way.
