For Lexi and Ty’s engagement session, we spent the afternoon exploring Lake Park in Milwaukee, stopping at different spots along the way, including the lighthouse.
They started out in a more casual outfit, then changed into something a little more romantic for the second half of the session.
For their second look, we planned something a little more personal. Lexi and Ty enjoy playing cards together, so we set up a little picnic by the lighthouse where they could play a game and hang out while I took photos.
It ended up being such a fun part of the session, and I love that we got to include something they actually enjoy doing together.
I always encourage couples to think of their engagement session like a date, with me there to photograph it. You don’t have to spend the whole time posing or wondering what to do in front of the camera. Having something to do together makes it easier to relax, and the photos feel a lot more like you.
I had such a good time with Lexi and Ty, and I’m already looking forward to photographing their wedding in 2027.
Here are a few of my favorites from their Lake Park engagement session.
