Some engagement sessions feel like a photoshoot. Some feel like a quiet walk together where I just happen to be there with a camera.
Mark and Lindsey’s session at Seven Bridges was the second kind.
They wanted something simple, outdoors, and honest — somewhere they could move, talk, laugh, and bring their dog along. Seven Bridges is perfect for that. The trails wind through the trees, the little bridges break up the walk, and every turn gives you a different backdrop without feeling staged.
We started slow, just walking and letting their dog explore (and occasionally demand attention). No rushing into poses. No pressure to “do something.” Just letting them settle into the moment together.
That’s usually when the real stuff shows up.
They naturally stayed close — hands brushing, quiet smiles, little inside jokes. The kind of connection that doesn’t need direction. My role was mostly to observe, gently guide when needed, and catch the in-between moments as they happened.
That’s what I always hope engagement photos feel like: not a performance, but a memory of how this season actually felt.
If you’re planning engagement photosnear Milwaukee and want something outdoorsy, relaxed, and dog-friendly, Seven Bridges is one of those locations that always works. It gives you nature, movement, and space to just be yourselves.
Mark and Lindsey — thank you for trusting me with this.
