I first met Jake and Trinity about a year ago when I photographed their engagement session, so getting to come back and photograph their wedding felt pretty special.
They got married on a beautiful private property in Wisconsin, with the ceremony outside and a tented reception afterward. The whole place was incredible — lots of greenery, open space, and honestly, a perfect setting for photos.
But what I remember most about this wedding is the people. Everyone was so welcoming and genuinely excited to be there. The whole day had this easy, fun energy, with so much happening naturally around me — hugs, laughs, reactions, and all those little in-between moments I’m always looking for.
Since I already knew Jake and Trinity from their engagement session, photographing them again felt really natural. They knew how I worked, I knew their energy, and we didn’t have to start from zero on the wedding day.
For the gallery, I went with slightly film-inspired colors that fit the outdoor setting and the feeling of the day. Nothing too polished or perfect — just a little nostalgic and true to how it all felt.
Here are a few of my favorites from Jake and Trinity’s wedding.
If you’re planning an outdoor or private property wedding in Milwaukee or elsewhere in Wisconsin and are looking for natural, documentary wedding photography with a film-inspired feel, I’d love to hear about your plans.
